On the sunset side of the Simoncini house, a cosy retreat for two. A panoramic terrace shaded by wild figs, a wood-burning fireplace, and the rolling Tuscan hills at your doorstep.
— Il Simoncini Basso
Tucked into the sunset-facing side of the large Simoncini house, Il Simoncini Basso is a simpler, more intimate arrangement — designed for short stays without giving up comfort or views.
A private outdoor area opens onto a panoramic terrace shaded by wild figs, where you can rest outdoors even during the hottest hours of the day. A French window leads from the terrace into a comfortable living room with a wood-burning fireplace, fitted with a small kitchen — ideal for two.
The bedroom is furnished with an antique curved iron bed and warm-coloured wooden furniture. The bathroom opens directly from the bedroom. Throughout, the characteristic details of Tuscan rural architecture are preserved: local wood windows and doors, terracotta floors, and traditional beam-and-brick ceilings.
"The same quality of space and materials as our larger cottages — distilled into a quiet home for two, where evenings end by firelight and the hills go amber at dusk."
